Stallions
YGW Lock N Load
2011 bay stallion
Sire:DL Flit Bar (Lasaber Streak)
Dam:YGW Smokin Rocket (Smokin Jess Tivio)
future stallion prospect but he's so darn pretty we thought he deserved a bigger picture on the site so we're gonna let him hang out with the big boys for a year or so.
YGW Illmakeyafamous
2008 Palomino Stallion
Sire: French Guy (Frenchmans Guy)
Dam: Tolltacs Gold (Sizzles Golden Boy)
"Ace" is exceeding all expectations and he was without a doubt the right choice to keep from "Frenchy's" last crop. We had 45 days of riding put on him this spring before breeding season and he had no buck, very smart, willing - it's what we breed them for. He has really grown this year and is a strong built horse with lots of size. He really maintained a good disposition throughout the breeding season, and he's got great bone and feet, good straight legs and is very balanced, with a pretty head. He really gets under himself, and he will have awesome potential as a barrel horse.
He is going to be gelded - we don't need two stallions and we really want to concentrate on Smoke for now. We have some babies by Ace and they are incredible, so will probably keep a couple of the fillies. If someone is looking for a serious barrel prospect, give us a shout. Serious inquiries only.
Ace is really people friendly and easy to catch. Whoever takes him will fall in love with him quick.
Smoken French Winner
2009 bay stallion
Sire: Smoke N Sparks
Dam: Runaway Frenchgirl
"Smoke" is maturing into a tremendous animal. He's maintaining a great, people-friendly disposition, and we have high hopes for this youngster. With his bloodlines he should be able to produce some outstanding competitors. He's got the kind of conformation that should hold him together for the long haul. We're looking at sending him to a trainer late fall to see how he does with that.
We put Smoke out on pasture with some mares in the spring of 2011 so we will be finding out what he can produce next spring. He will be standing to the public for the 2012 breeding season. $250 stud fee for proven mares only - $600 for all others.
French Guy
1996 Palomino Stallion
Sire: Frenchmans Guy (Sun Frost)
Dam: Mystics Dakota Gold (Gabby Brian)
We did lose Frenchy, but we have some incredible mares by him. Since deciding to downsize, we've put a lot of thought into what mares to keep. The Frenchmans Guy/Jet N Rocket cross came out a big winner - it's a strong cross and a proven one. We are already missing our 'French' mares but think we're going to have a lot more fun with just the few, so......hang on and stay tuned. Great things are coming!
DL Flit Bar
2003 Bay Stallion
50% Flit Bar by blood
Sire: Lasaber Streak (Flit Bar)
Dam: Beggars Flit N Cody (Flit Bar Beggar)
"Flit" produced the type of babies that we were looking for. They are extremely trainable and willing, strongly built, and easy to be around with his people friendly attitude. Our buyers are saying really encouraging things about their ability, and we're hoping for great things from them. His foals are VGBRA eligible.
The Flit Bar horses are known for versatility, longevity, and trainability, and many have exceled in several disciplines. Don't pass an opportunity to own one of your own. You'll be amazed at how enjoyable owning and working with a horse can be again - even if you've spent a lifetime around horses!
Due to the decision to cut way back on our breeding operation, we made the difficult decision in December 2010, to sell Flit. He went to a wonderful home with Shane Cox in WA where he will continue breeding mares. We will offer the remainder of Flit's foals for sale and when they're gone, that's the last of these crosses. Of course we are going to retain a couple of fillies by Flit and out of our French mares - the cross is just too strong to let go. We will cross the fillies back on our two young studs and see what fun we can have with the offspring. Thank you to all the buyers who loved Flit's foals as much as we did.
